In the construction process of multiple choice (MC) and open questions, you can use a standard format for written MC and open assessments or digital MC assessments to fill in questions. For the transparency, validity and use of the material by a peer reviewer, it is adviced to show:
- the constructed questions,
- the correct answer,
- relation to a learning objective,
- a reference where students can find the answer in the compulsory teaching material.
After the take, a test and item analysis helps the examiner to detect possible mistakes in the construction of questions and the answer model.
If the multiple choice assessment has a feedback function, it is advised to use the standard format for a digital MC assessment.
